The scientific journal Mucosal Immunology has published an article on the immunological mechanisms involved in the action of the polybacterial vaccine MV140 (UROMUNE). Within these mechanisms, the action of MV140 on dendritic cells (which are part of the natural or innate immunity) modulating the adaptive immune response of T lymphocytes, is disclosed.
UROMUNE is a sublingual vaccine that in its formula MV140 is used in patients with recurrent urinary infections, mainly bladder infections (recurrent cystitis). See other studies.
The published work has been carried out in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Complutense University of Madrid and Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid with the collaboration of INMUNOTEK S.L.
