12/2016. UROMUNE Mechanisms

The scientific journal Mucosal Immunology has published an article on the immunological mechanisms involved in the action of the polybacterial vaccine UROMUNE-MV140.

Within these mechanisms, the action of UROMUNE-MV140 on dendritic cells (which are part of the natural or innate immunity) modulating the adaptive immune response of T lymphocytes, is disclosed.

UROMUNE-MV140 is a sublingual vaccine used in patients with recurrent urinary infections, mainly bladder infections (recurrent cystitis). See other studies.

The published work has been carried out in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Complutense University of Madrid and Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid with the collaboration of INMUNOTEK.
