01/2021. Trained Immunity and Viral Outbreaks
Trained immunity-based vaccines are outlined as a full chapter in “Viral Outbreaks”, a book that has just been published by IntechOpen.
IntechOpen, the most important open-access scientific book publisher, draws a new title “Viral Outbreaks” (Prof. David M. Claborn, editor). The chapter entitled “Trained immunity-based vaccines: a ready-to-act strategy to tackle viral outbreaks” sets out the concept of trained immunity-based vaccines (TIbV) and their potential to bring an immediate protection in viral outbreaks. This concept has been of the utmost interest in the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, when specific vaccines were not ready/available to protect vulnerable or highly exposed subjects.
The guest authors who contributed to this chapter have been Laura Conejero, Paula Saz-Leal and José Luis Subiza, from INMUNOTEK.
